​​  Aaron Hollingsworth was born and raised in Jefferson County, Missouri. The son of a Civil War enthusiast/author John Hollingsworth, Aaron grew up on a strict diet of history and politics.  From an early age Aaron was fascinated with cartoons such as Voltron, He-Man, TMNT, and The X-Men. When the teen years came he invested all his allowance in comic books such as X-Men, Spiderman, Spawn, Evil Ernie, and eventually his favorite comics, Preacher and Lone Wolf and Cub.

  At the age of 19, Aaron moved to Ottawa, Kansas, a small town near Lawrence. When not working in a sweaty factory, he took up hobbies such as playing/making music, playing tabletop RPGs, and studying martial arts. 

  At the age of 27, Aaron met Stephanie Jacobs.  The two are now married and live in Kansas City, Missouri with their two sons, Jude the Dude and Leonidas. Stephanie is the cover designer for Aaron's first for books, as well as an artist and photographer.
